Reference is made to an announcement made public by different Medias On Nov 4, 2006.
For the sake of restoring the truth regarding a Press Conference that took place same day, we herewith feel obliged to reflect through this official press release the real facts that are far from what medias publicly announced.

The following important statements should be therefore well noted:

The only purpose of the Press Conference was the announcement of the establishment of the IRAQ TELECOM CONSORTIUM (ITC).

ITC is a newly established entity with a view of deploying a CDMA fixed telephone network in Diala, Salahhadin, Kirkuk and Mosul Governorates with the trade name of Fanoos Telecom.

Ariafon and Midya telecom are operating since 2004 and 2005 respectively in the Kurdistan Region on the grounds of agreements, contracts and permits granted by the KRG Ministry of Communications.

Operations within the Kurdistan Region shall continue without any effect to the subscribers, or shareholders of the two Companies. Any change of their legal status shall be made in line with the applicable legislation. The statement made public that the two Companies Merged is not valid. What is valid is that the two Companies accepted to participate in the IRAQ TELECOM CONSORTIUM (ITC) with an agreed share interest and to interconnect current networks with the above mentioned new Governorates. It is also agreed that within Kurdistan the two Companies shall enhance their existing co-operation with a spirit of continuously offering good quality services to the people of Kurdistan.

References made in different Medias announcements regarding telephone cost and charges and any other information given beyond above clarification has nothing to do with Ariafon.

Ariafon and Midya have though share interest in the newly established ITC Company.

The understandings and structure of the future operations are as follows:

اشارة الى التصريحات المعلنة من قبل وسائل الاعلام في الرابع من تشرين الثاني 2006، من اجل استبيان الحقائق بصورة افضل بخصوص المؤتمر الصحفي المنعقد في نفس اليوم، لذا نرى من الضروري بيان الحقائق الفعلية من خلال هذه المنشورة الصحفية التي هي بعيدة كل البعد عن ما نشرته وسائل الاعلام.

لابد ملاحظة العبارات المهمة التالية بصورة جيدة:

الغرض الاساسي من المؤتمر الصحفي هو بيان تأسيس المجموعة العراقية للآتصالات (ITC ).

ان المجموعة العراقية للاتصالات هي هيئة جديدة سوف تقوم بتأسيس شبكة الاتصالات الثابتة (CDMA ) في كل من ديالى وصلاح الدين وكركوك وموصل وذلك بأستخدام علامة تجارية، باسم فانوس للاتصالات.

ان شركتا اريافون وميديا تيلكوم تعملان في اقليم كردستان منذ 2004 و2005 بالتوالي وذلك بموافقة وزارة الاتصالات في حكومة اقليم كردستان على عقود كلتا الشركتين.

سوف تستمرعمل الشركتين في اقليم كردستان بدون اية تأثير على المشتركين والمالكين. واي تغيير في الوضعية القانونية ستكون بموجب القوانين النافذة. حيث ان التصريح جعل الناس يفهمون بأن الشركتان تم دمجهما ولكن هذا غير صحيح. الامرالصحيح هو ان كلتا الشركتين قبلوا الانتماء الى المجموعة العراقية للاتصالات وذلك بالاتفاق على نسبة معينة من الاسهم وربط الشبكة الحالية مع المحافظات الجديدة المذكورة اعلاه. وكذلك تم الاتفاق بين الشركتين في داخل كردستان بزيادة التعاون المشترك بروح عالية لتقديم خدمة جيدة الى اهالي كردستان.

ان التصريحاتهم المختلفة في وسائل الاعلام بخصوص اسعار التلفونات والدقائق وكذلك اية معلومات غير مذكورة في هذا التوضيح، لا تخص شركة اريافون.

ان شركتا اريا فون و ميديا تيلكوم مشتركتين في المجموعة العراقية للاتصالات الجديدة التأسيس.

العمل المستقبلي لشركتا اريا فون و ميديا تيلكوم سوف يكون تأسيس شبكة CDMA
